A place for stories about chronic illness, disability, mental health, and neurodivergence.

To Mend Infinity

By

Shaky hands stumble,
a cup slipping out of reach.
Morning light casting spotlights
as the cup meets concrete.

Interrupting familiar routines and
left helpless to watch it shatter.
I can’t mend it.

Shattered pieces spread far,
in places unreachable,
in numbers too laborious to contain,
in an overwhelming chorus of sound.
