The Grape Press

By

My thigh is a map of my pain.
Injection marks bloom like bunches of grapes,
a harvest of my suffering.
Sultana stains mark last week’s flare-up,
red globes for earlier this week,
beautiful concord blooms for today.
Eventually fading back to fresh milky skin,
ready to reap and repeat.
