Staying Sparkly

By
My anxiety is sparkly It’s glitter Diamond dust Sand on the beach My anxiety likes to stick around And show itself off My anxiety rubs off on all the clothes In the laundry machine My anxiety lives In my college dorm room carpet My anxiety is grainy in my shoes My anxiety is still there After I try to wash it away My anxiety is like lightning striking sand My anxiety is me Pounding my head against the glass My anxiety is like spilled glitter It’s been months But still Everywhere
