Warts

Color scheme, I need a melting:
Watercolor pencils in a swirl of oil
pastels welling, running their shades,
my fancy, the layers, the overlays,
skin-translucent as my veins,
as this passing,
the bumps of my body…

Stretch me, place me on sheets
as an offering for the surgery
of music, these arias, that imagery—–
From hand to brush, my soul, liquid
Nitro white-yellow blazing
a breeze, & of healing,
so I may wake smooth again, pink
in some country
those with toad souls never know,
though in paintings, they may also dream
